The exhibition introduces more than 300 images, documents, and artifacts vividly recreating the sacrificial, arduous, but extremely glorious struggle of our nation in the journey to protect independence, maintain sovereignty , build and protect the Fatherland, with three themes.

Part 1, "Autumn of Independence", introduces the general historical process of the nation from the time of the French colonial invasion to before the August Revolution in 1945; the process of preparing forces, opportunities and strategic decisions of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh ; the seething revolutionary spirit of the armed forces and people of the whole country during the August General Uprising; the moment when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the image of the entire nation shouting the oath of independence at the historic Ba Dinh Square.
Part 2, with the theme "Keeping the Oath", displays documents and artifacts that generally reflect the long and arduous struggle of the Vietnamese people, through the wars of national liberation against French colonialism and American imperialism, fighting to protect the border and fulfilling the noble international duty, firmly protecting the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.
"Glory of Vietnam" is the main content of part 3 of the exhibition, displaying and reflecting the great achievements of the country on the path of building socialism, clearly demonstrated in all fields of politics, culture, economy, society... In which, the Vietnam People's Army continues to play a core role in building a national defense, fighting to firmly protect independence and sovereignty, and at the same time participating in peacekeeping activities of the United Nations, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena.

The images, artifacts and documents introduced at the exhibition are valuable documents, kept at the Vietnam Military History Museum and museums and archives inside and outside the military, some of which are displayed for the first time. Some typical documents and artifacts include: President Ho Chi Minh's Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945; newspapers during the revolutionary peak period of 1941-1945; restored "Hoang De Chi Bao" seal - a symbol of the supreme power of the feudal court, becoming a testament to the moment of historical transition; collection of "Cu Ho" banknotes - a means of payment issued by the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, demonstrating the economic and financial sovereignty of an independent nation; restored A Pa Chai milestone - a sacred symbol of sovereignty, affirming the determination to protect territorial integrity.
In particular, the exhibition applies augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technology to recreate history and increase interaction for visitors to research, learn and experience.
