As reported by VTC News , in recent days, many inspection centers in Hanoi have seen long lines of cars waiting for inspection. It is predicted that the closer to Tet, the more vehicles will flock to inspection centers.

Faced with this situation, authorities and experts have issued recommendations to people to prevent traffic jams.

Specifically, the Vietnam Register Department informs and propagates to the Automobile Transport Association, Logistics, business owners and vehicle owners to proactively check, maintain and repair any damage (if any) of the vehicle before going for inspection to avoid receiving unsatisfactory inspection results, having to fix and repair many times, creating more congestion, wasting unnecessary time of vehicle owners and affecting other vehicles, adding pressure to the inspection center.

At the same time, people should be proactive and take advantage of the opportunity when returning to their hometown, going on business trips, traveling, picking up goods, or delivering goods to go to any convenient inspection unit for inspection, to reduce the load on centers in large, densely populated cities.

Also giving a recommendation, Mr. Tran Quoc Hoan, Deputy Director in charge of the 29.03V Vehicle Inspection Center (Hanoi) stated that people should also prepare all administrative documents related to their vehicles before going so that the inspection can take place as quickly as possible.

"Many people who come here are shocked and rummage through the trunks and parking spaces to find registration and inspection papers... causing the inspection time to slow down. With the current large number of vehicles coming here, just a few vehicles looking for papers like that can make the traffic jam worse," said Mr. Hoan.

In addition, Mr. Hoan said that if possible, people should also check the traffic police's fine status of their vehicles before taking them to the checkpoint to avoid queuing but not being able to have their vehicles inspected, which also causes congestion.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Deputy Head of Inspection Station 29.03S (Hanoi) recommends that people should not come to inspection centers too early in the morning.

"There were days when I saw many cars lined up in front of the center gate waiting for inspection from 5am. The rush to arrive at the same time frame will cause congestion in the inspection center area. Usually, this situation occurs in the first 2 hours of the morning or afternoon of the day. Therefore, people should not rush to get their vehicles inspected at the beginning of the day, because even if they arrive early, they will have to wait and cannot get their vehicles inspected right away," said Mr. Dung.
