Breakthrough in quantity and quality of excellent students

In the 2023-2024 school year, the Education and Training sector of Tuyen Quang province continues to receive good news in the work of nurturing excellent students, especially in national exams and competitions.

The province has 90 students participating in the competition, 56 national prizes, including 1 first prize, 12 second prizes, 20 third prizes and 23 consolation prizes (increasing both the quality and quantity of prizes won compared to the 2022-2023 school year); ranked 25th out of 63 provinces and cities; ranked 5th out of 14 provinces in the Northern mountainous region in terms of the number of prizes. This is the result of the efforts of teachers and students in the whole province.

The province has over 1,300 students winning prizes in provincial competitions for excellent students. The number of students participating, the quantity and quality of prizes in the competitions for excellent students are considered to have made a breakthrough compared to previous school years.

Tuyen Quang Education Sector, Tuyen Quang students are gradually asserting themselves in the region, the country and gradually reaching the international level. In particular, the project "Green synthesis of nanocomposite materials applied as photocatalysts to treat herbicide residues in the aquatic environment" by teachers and students of Tuyen Quang Specialized School won first prize at the Provincial and National High School Science and Technology Competition, and was selected to participate in the 2024 International Science and Technology Competition in the United States.

At the ceremony, 12 teachers were awarded the title of "Excellent Teacher" for the 16th time in 2023; 122 students won high prizes in provincial and national competitions and 23 teachers whose students won prizes in provincial and national competitions in the 2023-2024 school year and 1 collective were commended and rewarded.

Continue the glorious history

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son commended and congratulated the outstanding achievements of teachers and students in the recent past; especially congratulated 12 teachers who were honored to be awarded the title of "Excellent Teacher" by the President.

To realize the goal of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress of Tuyen Quang, which determined "Striving to make Tuyen Quang a fairly developed, comprehensive and sustainable province in the Northern mountainous region", the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested all levels and sectors, especially the education and training sector, to focus on implementing a number of key tasks: The education and training sector continues to promote the effective implementation of Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training. Managers, teachers and educators need to actively improve their knowledge, innovate teaching methods, methods of fostering and reviewing excellent students; strive to attract, train and foster many cadres and teachers who are good at their profession, dedicated and responsible for their profession.

At the same time, innovate methods of discovering, selecting and nurturing excellent students to continuously improve the results of excellent student exams, especially national excellent students. The Association for Promotion of Education at all levels acts as a focal point together with the Education and Training sector to promote the work of promoting learning and talent, propagating and mobilizing agencies, unions, social organizations and people to join hands in caring for the work of promoting learning and talent.

Localities need to have specific solutions so that all students have the conditions and opportunities to access the best education, especially disadvantaged students, poor students, and students from difficult areas must have equal opportunities and be given the best conditions in the best environment to practice, study, compete and win awards for excellent students at all levels.
