(BGDT) - The People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just issued Decision No. 16/2023/QD-UBND stipulating the set of criteria for new rural villages and the authority to consider, recognize and announce new rural villages (NTM) in the province for the period 2023 - 2025.

Accordingly, the set of criteria for new rural villages in Bac Giang province for the period 2023-2025 includes 12 criteria: Traffic; irrigation; electricity; residential housing; cultural and information facilities; household economy; education; health; culture; rural environment and landscape; political and social system; security and order - society.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Chairman of the District People's Committee the authority to consider, recognize and announce the new rural village. Villages in extremely disadvantaged communes that meet the new rural village standards will be rewarded 20 million VND/village.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to guide, inspect and urge localities to implement the Decision.
The Department of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Home Affairs to advise the Provincial People's Committee on allocating provincial budget funds to reward villages that meet NTM standards; and guide localities in managing and using reward funds in accordance with regulations.
The People's Committees of districts and communes are annually responsible for reviewing, selecting, and proposing to the Provincial People's Committee to include in the Plan a list of villages that meet the standards of new-style rural villages; and directing villages to implement them in accordance with regulations.
The Decision takes effect from July 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025 and replaces Decision No. 669 dated November 20, 2015 of the Provincial People's Committee promulgating Regulations on criteria, procedures, records for consideration of recognition and announcement of villages and hamlets meeting NTM standards in Bac Giang province.
(BGDT) - From having not yet met many criteria to be recognized as having completed the construction of a model new rural area, Khoat village, Nghia Hung commune (Lang Giang - Bac Giang) has now "reached the finish line" with a new look. Looking back on that journey, the Party Committee and the Village Management Board unanimously agreed that the success was thanks to the consensus and solidarity of the people.
(BGDT) - On May 26, the Farmers' Association of Bac Giang City (Bac Giang) held the 11th Congress of the Farmers' Association for the 2023-2028 term. Attending the congress were leaders of the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee, the Provincial Farmers' Association, departments, branches, and units of the City and 135 delegates representing nearly 8,000 members of the entire city.
(BGDT) - Canh Thuy Commune (Yen Dung - Bac Giang) has soon achieved advanced new rural standards and is focusing on building a model new rural area. The issuance of specialized resolutions and drastic implementation have contributed to that result.
