According to the Ministry's regulations, there will be no early admissions this year. From August 16, the Ministry of Education and Training will process admission requests on the general admission system (virtual filtering).

Within 4 days, from August 17 to 20, the Ministry of Education and Training will upload the admission results of the schools to the system (admission results of all admission methods) and return the application processing results to the schools 6 times to give the final results.

The virtual filtering process ensures that each candidate is only admitted to one highest choice. This helps to minimize the phenomenon of virtual admission, that is, the number of candidates determined to be admitted does not reflect the number of people who will actually enroll.

After 6 virtual filtering rounds, it is expected that from 5:00 p.m. on August 20, universities will announce the first round of benchmark scores, with the deadline before 5:00 p.m. on August 22. Before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, candidates must complete their admission confirmation on the system if they wish to study (including candidates who are directly admitted).

According to the 2025 university admission guidelines, the Ministry of Education and Training requires training institutions not to require candidates to confirm admission or enroll before August 22 and not to complete admission confirmation before August 30.

Schools must publicly convert admission scores.

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a document requesting universities and colleges to strictly comply with the regulations on university and college admissions for preschool education and guiding documents; review data, and prepare for virtual filtering.

In particular, in the first round of enrollment in 2025, schools must organize admission exams on a common system, ensuring compliance with regulations and progress issued by the Ministry.

In addition, schools need to review sub-criteria and admission data from previous years to determine appropriate virtual rates, ensuring that the number of officially admitted candidates does not exceed the approved quota.

Training institutions cannot download data and admission information from the System if they have not publicly announced the equivalent conversion of admission scores.

This is one of the new regulations in this year's university and college admissions. According to the Ministry of Education and Training, schools must convert the equivalent admission scores and entry thresholds between admission methods and combinations to increase consistency, objectivity and fairness for candidates.

The Ministry only issues a general framework for converting admission scores, while schools proactively develop their own plans, leading to the phenomenon that each place has a different approach.
