Once considered a "fire coordinate" during the resistance war against the US - a key traffic point on the North-South strategic supply route, Truong Bon was once bombed and fiercely attacked by US aircraft. Here, 1,240 cadres, soldiers, youth volunteers, militia and people sacrificed their lives, including 13 youth volunteer martyrs of Squad 2 (Nghe An Youth Volunteer Company 317).
