Attending and directing the flight were Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Major General Bui Thien Thau, Deputy Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force.

After a short time moving to the new station, the Regiment quickly received the facilities, stabilized the organization, accommodation and activities for the troops. This was the first flight of Regiment 920 to carry out the mission at Phan Thiet airport.

Realizing the importance of the flight team, the Regiment has directed the strengthening of education, raising awareness, and building determination for all officers and soldiers about the importance of flight training and ensuring flight safety at the new airport. At the same time, the Regiment has assigned specific tasks to its members, strictly maintaining regulations in the 3 flight phases and 4 aviation technical phases.

The first flight landed safely.

After doing a good job of preparation, the Regiment assigned the task of meteorological reconnaissance flights, as a basis for deciding to officially fly. The first flight was aircraft number 28, led by Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Do, Regiment Commander, and Lieutenant Colonel Do Kien Giang, Flight Director, taking off to carry out the meteorological reconnaissance mission.

The first flight took off in the staff flight of Regiment 920.

Exactly 12 minutes later, the plane landed safely back at the apron, ending the meteorological reconnaissance mission. This was an important flight, checking meteorological conditions, the radar station to ensure the flight crew, as a basis for deciding to officially fly.

The last flight of the Cadre Flight Board was aircraft number 19 piloted by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ham Kien, Deputy Regiment Commander, Chief of Staff and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Chung, Political Commissar of the Regiment, which landed safely.

Although it was the first flight at a new airport, thanks to careful and meticulous preparation, the Regiment completed 100% of the flight plan, ensuring safety and quality.

After the successful flight of officers, Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, commended and encouraged officers and soldiers of Regiment 920 for proactively overcoming difficulties and stabilizing the organization after moving to a new station.

Besides, the Regiment has done a good job of preparing and organizing the flight crew at the new airport scientifically and strictly to achieve the goals, requirements and complete the set plan.
