On June 24, District 1 Police (HCMC) initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Trinh Thi Hoa (born in 1969), Trinh Ba Hao (born in 1989), Trinh Ba Hoa (born in 1991, both are Hoa's sons, all living in District 1) for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".

In addition, the police also prosecuted and detained Nguyen Huu Thanh Cong (born in 1990), Nguyen Van Minh (born in 1993), Vuong Trong Quoc (born in 1989), Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1979), Doan Thanh Lam (born in 1994), Nguyen Phong Vuong (born in 1995), Mus Sa Fa (born in 1998), Nguyen Minh Truong (born in 1992), Diep Le Chi Khang (born in 1992), Dinh Nhi Ko Lai (born in 1995, all residing in Ho Chi Minh City) for the crime of "Illegal possession of narcotics".

Previously, through professional activities, District 1 Police discovered a drug den in District 1 and followed it. Through that, detectives discovered that many subjects from other localities often appeared in Ma Lang area (Nguyen Cu Trinh ward).

The subjects often appear late at night or early in the morning. Detectives determined that these are drug addicts who buy drugs in the Ma Lang area for use.

On the evening of June 13, many reconnaissance teams intercepted and arrested Cong, Minh and 8 others. During the search, the police discovered that each subject was hiding 1-2 packages of drugs. A quick test showed that the group was positive for drugs.

Through investigation, the group admitted to being heavily addicted to drugs. Recently, the group learned that there was a “boss” and her two sons selling drugs in this alley, so they went to buy them. Through investigation, the police determined that the “boss” was Hoa and her two sons.

At around 2:40 a.m. on June 14, detectives discovered Hoa standing at a house in alley 263 Nguyen Trai, so they stopped by to check. At that time, Hoa was holding 750,000 VND and a leather wallet. Checking the wallet, the police discovered 13 packages of drugs and 10 more packages of drugs in his pants pocket.

At the police station, Hoa admitted to drug trafficking and had the help of his two sons, Hao and Hoa. Hoa's two sons are living in another house in alley 263 Nguyen Trai.

The police raided the houses of Hoa's two sons and seized two packages containing drugs in the toilet. In Hoa's house, the police seized two packages containing drugs on the altar shelf and another package containing drugs on top of a plastic cabinet, along with many related exhibits.

“Boss” Hoa confessed that through a relationship, Hoa met a strange young man. Because she had no job and needed money to pay off her debt, Hoa came up with the idea of ​​buying drugs from this young man to sell for profit.

Hoa contacted to buy drugs many times, brought them home and divided them into many small packages to sell to addicts for 250,000 VND/package. Hoa's two children saw that their mother was "not well" so they helped sell drugs.
