At the press conference, Major General Le Quang Tuyen, Deputy Director of the General Department of Defense Industry, said that the 2nd Vietnam International Defense Exhibition is part of the series of celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

According to Major General Le Quang Tuyen, the exhibition will take place at Gia Lam airport (Phuc Dong ward, Long Bien district, Hanoi) with a total area of ​​over 100,000 ^m2 , of which the indoor exhibition area is 15,000 ^m2 and the outdoor area is 20,000 ^m2 . The indoor exhibition scale is double that of the 2022 exhibition.

The estimated cost of the organization is 120 billion VND from socialization, sponsorship from businesses and the organizers' revenue from selling indoor and outdoor booths and services provided to businesses participating in the exhibition.

At the exhibition, domestic and international defense enterprises displayed and introduced combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons, and equipment for the navy, army, air defense - air force, cyber warfare, and logistics and technical equipment.

Vietnamese products displayed and introduced at the exhibition are products researched and manufactured by agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense and commercial and service companies of the Ministry of National Defense.

The exhibition will be held from December 19 to 22, open from 9am to 5pm daily and is free to the public. The opening ceremony will be held at 9am on December 19. At the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Air Force will fly in to welcome, the Vietnam People's Army's special forces, and the Vietnam People's Army's Border Guard dogs will perform a welcome performance.

To date, nearly 200 domestic and foreign units and enterprises from 27 countries, including: Vietnam, Russia, UK, France, Spain, Serbia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Turkey, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, China, Israel, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, UAE, USA, Brazil have registered to have booths at the exhibition.
