Donated over 2.6 billion VND to the military and people of Con Co and Ly Son island districts

(QNO) - On January 25, the Naval Region 3 Command concluded a working trip to visit, wish a happy new year to officers and soldiers on duty and give gifts to people in the two island districts of Con Co (Quang Tri) and Ly Son ( Quang Ngai ).

After 4 days (January 22-25), the working group of the Naval Region 3 Command made a voyage of about 470 nautical miles, bringing gifts from the Ministry of National Defense , the Naval Region 3 Command, and from localities, businesses, organizations, individuals... to the people and soldiers of the two island districts of Con Co and Ly Son. The total value of gifts including goods and cash is more than 2.6 billion VND.

Speaking at the summary conference, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien - Political Commissar of Naval Region 3 Command congratulated the success of the working trip; at the same time acknowledged and commended the efforts to overcome difficulties of delegates from localities, agencies, organizations, clubs, businesses and individuals participating in the working delegation, contributing to the successful completion of the task of bringing gifts and New Year greetings to the military and civilian forces on Con Co Island and Ly Son Island.

"The journey through the night in the rain, wind, big waves, and cold air, but carried the warm feelings of the rear sent to the soldiers and people of the outpost islands, all for the beloved sea and islands of the Fatherland" - Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien emphasized.
