Building Digital Trust in the New Era

On August 18, the conference "KOL with the era of national growth" organized by the National Cyber Security Association in coordination with the Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention and Control, Ministry of Public Security took place with the participation of leaders of management agencies, businesses, technology platforms and hundreds of KOLs across the country.

The conference is not only a dialogue forum but also lays the foundation for many long-term initiatives, opening up opportunities for the KOL community to accompany the country's development.

In the context of strong development of technology and digital media, the voice of KOLs is not only limited to spreading information but has become an important resource in building social trust and creating sustainable values.

The first national KOL conference with the theme “KOL with the era of national rise” gathered nearly 300 typical KOLs, representing 34 provinces and cities across the country, along with more than 150 representatives of management agencies, businesses, technology platforms and media agencies. This is the first time the KOL community across the country has a national-scale forum to discuss, connect and affirm social responsibility in the digital age.

At the discussion session with the theme "Journey and Values", 6 presentations at the Conference focused on many practical contents to enhance the social responsibility of KOLs, build a safe and healthy network environment, promote creativity associated with human values and strengthen cooperation between management agencies, digital platforms and the KOL community.

Many artists and influential figures in the community such as Khanh Vy, Miss Bao Ngoc, etc. shared their views and experiences, emphasizing their desire to contribute to the development of a civilized digital society.

In addition, nearly 20 presentations from KOLs, businesses, platforms and management agencies published in the Conference's digital proceedings also reflect diverse perspectives and suggest many solutions for the sustainable development of the KOL community in the digital age.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Do Quang Vinh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy General Directorof SHB, raised an open question: "Is a business itself a KOL? They can also be a pioneer, a leader, speaking up for useful things and doing it."

According to Mr. Do Quang Vinh, enterprises not only play a role in economic development, but also carry social responsibility throughout the development journey. They carry the responsibility of improving the spiritual life of the community, together creating meaningful things for society...

Mr. Do Quang Vinh believes that each enterprise itself has been influencing, connecting and linking hundreds of thousands, millions of people from employees to customers, consumers...

"They are also an influential 'image', so businesses will also need to be aware of their own image, have the right actions and frameworks, clearly demonstrating responsibility to the community, society, and country.

Businesses can become a fulcrum of influence, complementing the personal KOL ecosystem, quietly but effectively," said Mr. Vinh.

KOLs join hands to fight against fake news and online fraud

Also within the framework of the Conference, the Discussion session with the theme "Trust and Expectation" took place enthusiastically with the coordination of People's Artist Xuan Bac - Director of the Department of Performing Arts. The Discussion brought together representatives from state management agencies, enterprises, digital platforms and some typical KOLs, focusing on discussing the role, responsibility and opportunities to spread positive influence of influential people in the digital society.

The shared opinions opened up many diverse perspectives, from management policies, technology solutions, communication strategies to KOL content creation stories, contributing to shaping a healthy and sustainable digital environment.

This year’s conference also left its mark with the special spirit of “a conference without flowers”. The entire cost of decorating the conference with flowers and sending them to guests will be used to support the Cuban people in response to the call of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.

In addition, one of the highlights of the event was the launch of the “Digital Trust” Alliance, an initiative that brings together KOLs, management agencies, platforms, businesses and the press to join hands to fight fake news, online fraud, non-transparent advertising and spread positive and humane values in the community. The alliance is expected to become a space for connecting and sharing experiences, while building a self-monitoring mechanism to enhance transparency and social responsibility of influencers.

Along with that, the Conference also announced the “Influencer Trust” Program, aiming to establish a system to evaluate the reputation and social responsibility of KOLs/KOCs. This will be an important tool to help the public, businesses and platforms have a basis to identify and cooperate with individuals who truly spread positive and trustworthy values.

Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Chinh, Permanent Vice President of the National Cyber Security Association affirmed: “The conference marks the beginning of a strategic cooperation network between KOLs, management agencies, businesses, digital platforms and the press, towards standards of conduct and a safe and healthy network environment.
