Thus, students in Ho Chi Minh City will have 11 days off for Tet instead of 9 days as originally planned.

Before the adjustment, the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday for preschool, primary, secondary and high school students is expected to start from January 25, 2025 to February 2, 2025 (ie December 26 to January 5), a total of 9 days off.

With this holiday schedule, many opinions say that students in Ho Chi Minh City have too few days off for Tet, causing many inconveniences for students and families in arranging to return to their hometowns.
