Who is the CEO of SSI Securities?

On July 21, the Board of Directors of SSI Securities Corporation (SSI Securities) officially appointed Mr. Nguyen Duc Thong (born in 1988) as the company's general director.

Previously, this position was held by Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam since 2020. Mr. Nam is the younger brother of Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thong joined SSI Securities 6 years ago and has worked at the world's leading financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley... He also has a solid academic background at Cambridge University (UK).

Chairman of the Board of Directors of SSI Securities, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, said that the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Duc Thong is a strategic step to transfer the leadership generation, helping the company develop strongly in the digital age.

At the 2025 shareholders' meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thong said that the company is promoting the application of technology and artificial intelligence (AI). In the first quarter, the company launched applications such as Iboard Pro and Cú Doha, helping to accelerate the Digital Sales segment - first quarter sales were equal to 2/3 of the whole year of 2024.

In the second quarter, SSI Securities achieved revenue of VND 2,940 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 1,144 billion, up 27% and 10% respectively over the same period last year.

In the first 6 months of the year, the company has completed more than 50% of the annual revenue and profit plan. Total assets in mid-2025 reached nearly 91,000 billion VND, equity of more than 27,600 billion VND. Outstanding margin loans and advances reached more than 33,100 billion VND, a sharp increase of 50.6% compared to the end of 2024.
