Corporation 28 promotes digital transformation

Digital transformation is no longer a choice, but a mandatory task, the shortest path for defense enterprises to adapt and develop. In that context, defense and security enterprises, especially dual-use enterprises under the General Department of Logistics and Engineering, must proactively take the lead in innovation, application and adaptation. Colonel Bui Van Bac, Party Secretary and Chairman of Corporation 28, said: "Corporation 28 is a core defense enterprise with a dual mission of serving national defense and economic development. We have no choice but to be a pioneer, to be resolute and to be successful in digital transformation."

Digital transformation is an irreversible development trend, but in the military environment, especially in units of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering, the successful implementation of digital transformation requires high political determination, close leadership of the Party Committee and the spirit of dedication and innovation of the staff. Corporation 28 does not consider digital transformation as a single activity, but a long-term strategy, with focus and key points, closely linked to production and business tasks. According to Colonel Bui Van Bac, digital transformation is not a distant concept, it is not the work of the Research, Development and Investment Department or the Information Technology Department of the Corporation alone, it must permeate the thinking, awareness and action of each cadre, each Party member, in each link of the value chain that we have worked hard to build.

The Party Committee and the unit's commanders have identified digital transformation as a key task, to be implemented step by step, firmly and with focus. Since 2023, Corporation 28 has organized a Digital Transformation Contest, with the goal of raising awareness of the importance of digital transformation and promoting responsibility and skills in exploiting and using software in the development of e -Government . The contest attracted the participation of 52 contestants from many different groups, from leaders, commanders to indirect staff. Recently, the Party Committee of Corporation 28 (General Department of Logistics and Engineering) has successfully organized a thematic activity to implement the "Digital Literacy" Movement and a discussion with the theme "Pioneering Party members in learning digital skills" for all Party members in the Corporation. In addition, the Corporation's officials and Party members also regularly participate in contests and training courses on digital transformation.

In recent times, the awareness of digital transformation of Party committees, commanders, cadres, employees and workers in Corporation 28 has had many clear changes. Information technology infrastructure serving digital transformation has been invested in. Cadres, employees and workers have quickly adapted to innovative working methods in the cyberspace environment, gradually replacing traditional methods in management, administration, work assignment, document completion, etc. Many tasks are being basically implemented on software, helping to increase work processing speed, improve management and operation efficiency, and save time and costs for the unit.

In addition, Corporation 28 also promotes the application of AI in production management and prioritizes the development of supporting industries, anti-counterfeiting and counterfeiting. Annual production and business targets increase, ensuring good jobs and income at a high level compared to businesses in the same industry. Accordingly, in 2024, the Corporation will achieve revenue of more than VND 5,235 billion, equal to 100.4% of the plan; profit of VND 168 billion, equal to 114% of the plan; employee income of more than VND 12 million/person/month, equal to 105.5% of the plan... The Corporation's products are always stable with traditional and export customers; at the same time, attracting many new customers for domestic uniforms of great value.

The promotion of digital transformation of Corporation 28 is considered an important step in the current context, helping this unit adapt to market changes and towards the goal of building the unit into one of the leading flags of the military textile industry, while developing into a multi-industry, sustainable enterprise.
