Organizing a contest to promote revolutionary songs for students

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Department of Education and Training organized a contest to promote revolutionary songs for students with the theme "Following in the footsteps of our ancestors".

The contest aims to review historical traditions, educate patriotism, promote heroic revolutionary traditions and national pride for the young generation.

Students aged 16-22 studying in Vinh Long participating in the contest must perform 2 parts. Propaganda part: introducing the author, the circumstances of creation, content, meaning of the song according to the theme, promoting tradition, personal responsibility and performance part.

The contest is divided into 2 categories with different award structures for each category including the first category: solo, duet; the second category: trio, group singing, singing and dancing.

The competitions will take place from August 26-28 and the closing ceremony, performance and award ceremony will take place on the evening of August 29 at Vinh Long Cultural Center.
