On the morning of October 20, according to information from Dan Viet reporter, Permanent Vice Chairman Tran Hoang Tuan signed a decision to recognize 3 communes meeting New Rural and Advanced New Rural standards in 2023.

Specifically, 2 communes were recognized as meeting the Advanced New Rural standards in 2023, including Duc Thanh commune, Mo Duc district; Tinh Ky commune, Quang Ngai city and the commune recognized as New Rural is Son Linh, Son Ha mountainous district.
Thus, with the recognition of the above 3 localities, up to this point, the whole Quang Ngai province has 97 communes meeting the New Rural standards and 8 communes meeting the Advanced New Rural standards.
At the district level, there are currently two localities that have been recognized as meeting New Rural standards, including Nghia Hanh district and Tu Nghia district.
Previously, yesterday, October 19, Mo Duc town, Mo Duc district held a ceremony to announce the Decision and receive the Certificate of recognition "Meeting Civilized Urban Standards" in 2024.

It is known that Mo Duc Town is the political, cultural, economic and social center of Mo Duc district, with a total natural area of 8.71km2, including 3 residential groups/2,195 households/8,250 people.

In recent times, Mo Duc town has had an average annual economic growth rate of 25.7%; the economic structure has gradually increased in proportion to industry, handicrafts - trade and services; the average income per capita by 2023 is estimated at about 57 million VND/person/year.
