DTO - In 2024, the Women's Union of Tan Hong district will deploy and implement programs and projects of the Central, provincial and district levels to promote the role of members and women in contributing to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, supporting and helping members and women in difficult circumstances to improve their income and improve their lives.


The Women's Union of An Phuoc Commune (Tan Hong District) launched an environmental sanitation campaign, collecting and treating waste on the "3 clean" route.

Tan Hong District Women's Union coordinated with the Provincial Women's Union to organize a talk on the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean" and the topic "Improving knowledge of female cadres and members participating in building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas in waste classification and treatment associated with environmental protection" with the participation of 130 female cadres and members. In addition, the Provincial Women's Union coordinated to organize the presentation of 100 gifts to members and women from poor and near-poor households in the district.

The Women's Union at all levels in the district implemented the movements "Saturday for the community", launched the "Green - clean - beautiful" flower road, mobilized people to do a good job of environmental landscape... As a result, 100% of the Union's bases continued to effectively maintain 34 "3 clean road sections", with a length of 48.8km; 100% of the Union's bases registered and implemented 1 project, part of the work contributing to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas. Through the implementation, 9/9 Union bases registered 10 projects, parts of the work with specific actions in the locality. In particular, the Women's Union of Tan Thanh B, Binh Phu, Tan Cong Chi communes and Sa Rai town with the models "Solid waste classification at source", "Rural street lighting project", "Clean house, clean road, clean field", "Supporting health insurance cards for near-poor students"...

The District Women's Union signed a program to coordinate with the District Labor Federation, District Youth Union, and District Farmers' Association to organize activities for female civil servants, public employees, and workers; coordinate to promote propaganda work to send workers to work abroad under contracts, organize the collection, transportation, and treatment of used pesticide packaging in the district.

At the same time, the District Agricultural Service Center coordinated with the District Women's Union to organize a training course on "Scientific eel farming" for 30 members and women. The District Women's Union coordinated with sectors and the People's Committee of Tan Thanh B commune to launch the "Flower Road", launch the "Women's Group for Waste Classification at Source" with 20 members, donate 20 trash bins to 20 members, women and people who are members of the Group, and plant more than 1,800 trees along the roads to create a rural landscape.

Implementing the “Godmother” Program, the Women’s Union at all levels continued to survey the actual circumstances of orphans. After the survey, through the connection of the Women’s Union at all levels in the district with organizations and individuals, they adopted 11 orphans due to Covid-19 and 24 orphans due to other causes. Each month, the orphans receive support including: Cash, scholarships, necessities, school supplies, clothes... Total value of more than 102 million VND.

Promoting the spirit of "Mutual love and support", showing concern and sharing with members, women in difficult circumstances, the elderly, the lonely, the disabled... The Women's Union at all levels in the district mobilized donors and benefactors to donate 1,419 gifts (rice, noodles, soy sauce, milk, cash, daily necessities) with a total cost of more than 471 million VND; presented 25 health insurance cards to students from near-poor households. Notably, in 2024, the Central Working Group of the Vietnam Women's Union visited and presented many gifts to families with revolutionary contributions, the poor, near-poor, people in difficult circumstances and children with a total amount of more than 46 million VND.

Through the coordination program of the Provincial Women's Union, the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Women's Union of Bac Lieu province and Binh Duong province, more than 110 gifts were presented to poor households, near-poor households, and poor but studious students in border communes in Tan Hong district; supporting livelihood models, presenting green tree planting projects and installing the "Lighting up the Border" solar lighting system. The total value of the activities was over 230 million VND. Along with that, the Women's Unions of communes and towns implemented the Program to support disadvantaged students in Binh Phu and Thong Binh communes, Tan Ho Co with 116 gifts worth 33.3 million VND. The Women's Union of Tan Ho Co commune was accompanied by the Women's Union of Sa Dec city to support 50 gifts for members and women in difficult circumstances, with an amount of 12.5 million VND...

In 2025, the Women's Union of Tan Hong district will continue to guide the Union's branches to implement key programs and projects associated with building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; strengthen advocacy work, mobilize resources to care for and support the poor, near-poor, and those in difficult circumstances to help members and poor women improve their income and stabilize their lives.
