At noon on March 20, under the hot weather, Ms. Lam Thi Thu Tuyet (from Soc Trang) held a stack of lottery tickets and offered them to passersby at the intersection of Nguyen Van Bua - National Highway 22 (Hoc Mon district).

A moment later, Ms. Tuyet opened the lid of the small cabinet that had the words "take for those who need it, leave the extra" and took out two packs of noodles and a bottle of water. Inside the cabinet were now a few loaves of bread and a few packs of noodles.

Ms. Tuyet shared that she has been selling lottery tickets for several years now. She has taken bread, instant noodles, and drinks from the upper cabinet several times, and sometimes she has taken milk to bring home for her children to drink. Every time she takes food from the upper cabinet, she only takes enough, leaving some for others.

"I don't know who placed this cabinet, I want to thank the person who placed the cabinet here as well as those who put food in the cabinet to help people in need," said Ms. Tuyet.

Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , some people living near the intersection of Nguyen Van Bua - National Highway 22 said that the above cabinet appeared a few weeks ago, but they did not know who placed the cabinet. The cabinet usually contains food and drinks left by passersby such as bread, instant noodles, drinks, milk...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Thao - who sells orange juice on Nguyen Van Bua Street - said she often sees people riding motorbikes putting bread in the box, and also sees some people taking bread to eat, including children.

"Seeing that scene warmed my heart. The cabinet above helps the poor and needy to some extent," said Ms. Thao.
