Thua Thien-Hue blocks group interests in law enforcement

On September 22, information from the People's Committee of Thua Thien- Hue province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh has just signed   Directive on implementing Resolution No. 126/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023 of the Government   Government on a number of solutions to improve the quality of work in building and perfecting the legal system and organizing law enforcement to prevent corruption, group interests and local interests.

It emphasizes strengthening discipline and order in law-making and law enforcement, enhancing the responsibility of leaders in law-making; strictly implementing Regulation No. 69-QD/TW dated July 6, 2022 of the Central Executive Committee on violations by party organizations and party members. At the same time, strengthening the work of giving opinions, appraisals, and inspections to detect, prevent, and resolutely handle acts of "corruption, negativity, and group interests" in law-making and law enforcement.  

Specifically, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of law enforcement; promote activities to monitor law enforcement. Focus on organizing dialogues with businesses and people about difficulties and inadequacies in the implementation of policies and laws.  

In addition, research and innovate the work of disseminating and popularizing the contents of laws, ordinances, resolutions, decrees, circulars, and legal documents issued by the People's Council and the People's Committee of the province.  

Strengthen inspection work and policy response capacity in the process of organizing law enforcement, especially in receiving and handling feedback and recommendations from agencies, organizations, people and businesses.  

In particular, focus on implementing tasks and solutions such as: Proactively reporting and asking for opinions from Party committees according to regulations in Party documents on important policies and major orientations in draft documents.

Improve the capacity and quality of cadres and civil servants working in law-making and law enforcement through strengthening training and fostering professional qualifications, expertise, and political will for cadres and civil servants to raise vigilance, not to be influenced or influenced by unhealthy behaviors aimed at inserting group interests, local interests, and distorting policies and the content of legal documents.  

At the same time, strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations in the process of drafting and promulgating documents; clearly define the responsibilities of agencies, units and individuals in advising on drafting and promulgating illegal documents.
