Hai Duong Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited farmers and drove a rice transplanter on his first day back to work after the Tet holiday.
Going to the field to drive a rice transplanter in Hung Long commune, Ninh Giang district with the Prime Minister on the afternoon of February 15 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year) were Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan and Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang.
Previously, the Government leader visited the tray-seeding production area and the machine-sown rice fields; listened to the leaders of Hai Duong province report on the production situation and application of mechanized planting, and the model of applying high-tech agriculture in rice production.

In the afternoon of the same day, the Prime Minister visited the carrot production area for export; visited Duc Chinh cooperative, carrot processing and packaging facility and cut the ribbon to congratulate the first batch of carrots exported in spring in Duc Chinh commune, Cam Giang district.
In 2023, Vietnam's agricultural sector grew by 3.83%, the highest in recent years, continuing to affirm itself as a pillar of the economy. The national rice output alone reached 43.5 million tons, up 1.9%, with a yield of 61 quintals/ha.

Vietnam's agricultural export turnover reached 53 billion USD, the highest trade surplus ever at 12 billion USD. Some export items increased to record levels such as vegetables and fruits at 5.69 billion USD, rice at 4.78 billion USD, cashew nuts at 3.63 billion USD. ST25 rice won the world's best award for the second time.
