On the afternoon of June 22, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected, visited and encouraged construction workers at the 500kV transmission line circuit 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi project in Thanh Hoa province.

"Just work, no back talk"

Inspecting the Thanh Hoa 500 kV Transformer Station in Thieu Phuc Commune, Thieu Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated: This is a project of utmost importance in supplying electricity to regions, so units must be highly determined, make great efforts, act decisively, "clearly identify people, clear about work, clear about time, clear about products".

The Prime Minister pointed out that after having the site, it is necessary to promptly and simultaneously carry out the construction of foundations and piles; it is necessary to concentrate forces on the project, mobilizing local forces to participate in the construction.

The Prime Minister requested to pay attention to the anchorage areas, to pay attention to the work related to land acquisition and clearance for forests; during the construction process, we must seek the support of local people, so we must stick with the people because strength comes from the people. In the future, large projects must also be implemented in this direction, and we must learn from this project.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the progress of the construction of the Thanh Hoa 500kV Transformer Station, saying that this is a vivid demonstration of "turning nothing into something, turning the impossible into possible, turning difficult into easy".

The Prime Minister also said that it is necessary to bring more Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union members to support the project. The Prime Minister stated that through this project, people will understand and be more impressed with the image of cadres and workers in the Electricity and Construction sectors working day and night on the project.

On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister thanked the staff, engineers and workers of electricity units across the country who came to support the project. The Prime Minister hoped that the units would work with the spirit of "overcoming the sun and rain", "only discussing work, not backtracking" so that the project can be completed by June 28.

At the project construction site, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh personally handed over OCOP products and Thanh Hoa specialty fruits to the engineers and workers. These were products donated by local people to encourage the construction units during these hot days.

The Prime Minister also requested the leaders of Thanh Hoa province to pay attention, visit and encourage the units participating in the construction of projects in the province on this occasion. In addition, the Prime Minister hoped that the units would strive to overcome all difficulties, take advantage of the "3 shifts, 4 shifts" construction, and strive to complete the project on schedule.

On the afternoon of June 22, the Prime Minister also inspected and encouraged workers at the VT117 pole location of the Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa power line project and inspected the construction of the 109-117 cable in Cau Loc commune, Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province.

Focus all resources, ensure progress

According to the report of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), as of June 20, 2024, the 500kV 3-circuit line project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi has basically achieved the set progress.

The site clearance work has completed the handover of 1,177/1,177 column foundation positions; 513/513 anchor intervals. For 75 steel column supply packages, implemented by 18 contractors and joint ventures, including 1,177 column positions, equivalent to nearly 139,000 tons of steel. Other materials and equipment of the projects have been basically completed and handed over.

Up to now, the foundation casting has been completed for all 1,177/1,177 positions. The erection of 686/1,177 column positions has been completed, and 408/1,177 column positions are being erected. The wire pulling of 80/513 anchor spans has been completed, and the wire pulling of 46/513 anchor spans is being carried out.

Vietnam Electricity Group and the National Power Transmission Corporation are making efforts to carry out the remaining tasks such as erecting poles and pulling wires. Implementing many solutions such as taking advantage of dry weather to gather materials and equipment to the construction site, adjusting the work schedule flexibly according to weather conditions, arranging accommodation for construction workers near the construction site, maximizing mechanical construction for locations with convenient traffic routes, etc.
