Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to continue to develop the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Korea in a more profound, substantive and effective manner.

The President hopes that Korean enterprises will continue to expand investment in Vietnam; expand cooperation in education, culture, tourism and people-to-people exchange, strengthen local cooperation, and pay attention to supporting and creating favorable conditions for each other's citizens.

Prime Minister Han Duck-soo sent the President of the Republic of Korea's deep condolences to the State and people of Vietnam and the family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Prime Minister Han Duck-soo affirmed that the achievements and contributions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the development of Vietnam and the friendly cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea will always be remembered by the people of the two countries.

South Korea always considers Vietnam an important partner in foreign policy and a key partner in implementing regional policies such as the Indo-Pacific Strategy and the ASEAN-Korea Solidarity Initiative.

Prime Minister Han Duck-soo conveyed the invitation of the President of the Republic of Korea to President To Lam to pay a state visit to the Republic of Korea at a convenient time.

At the meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong always attaches importance to and has made many important contributions to the Vietnam - South Korea relationship.

The bilateral relationship has been raised to a new level with three important achievements: Upgrading the bilateral relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2022; making the two countries become each other's leading important partners; promoting people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cooperation in many fields.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the two countries promote economic, trade, investment and development cooperation – the main pillars in the bilateral relationship, including striving to soon achieve the goal of raising bilateral trade turnover to 100 billion USD and aiming for 150 billion USD by 2030.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hopes that Korean enterprises will continue to expand investment in Vietnam in key and future industries such as semiconductors, digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, high technology, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Propose that Korea continue to increase the scale of non-refundable aid to Vietnam, consider lending large credit packages with preferential interest rates for strategic transport infrastructure such as construction of high-speed railways, urban railways, etc.

Prime Minister Han Duck-soo assessed Vietnam as a potential investment destination with nearly 10,000 Korean enterprises investing in Vietnam.

The Korean Prime Minister thanked the Vietnamese leaders for their attention in promoting dialogues, removing difficulties, and creating favorable conditions for Korean enterprises to invest in Vietnam; and wished to work with Vietnam to develop the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a more in-depth, substantive and effective manner in the coming time.
