On the morning of July 30, in Vinh Phuc, the Central Organizing Committee announced the decision of the Central Party Secretariat on personnel work.

According to the decision, Mr. Tran Duy Dong ceased to hold the position of member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment and was transferred and appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

At the same time, Mr. Dong was introduced to be elected to hold the position of Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong, born in 1979 in Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province.

Mr. Dong has a Master's degree in Public Policy from Japan, a bachelor's degree in investment economics and a bachelor's degree in English.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong started working at the Ministry of Planning and Investment in 2002 as a specialist, Department of Industrial Parks - Export Processing Zones Management (now the Department of Economic Zones Management).

In 2014, Mr. Tran Duy Dong was appointed as Director of the Department of Economic Zone Management. In November 2018, he was appointed as Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy.

In October 2020, Mr. Tran Duy Dong was appointed Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.
