Deputy Minister of Public Security talks about the underlying cause of the shooting in Dak Lak

Earlier, presenting a report at the plenary session, the Judiciary Committee's research team expressed concern about the terrorist attack that had caused particularly serious consequences for the lives and health of officials and people, and greatly affected local security and politics.

The research team recommends that the Government direct relevant agencies to strengthen state management, implement comprehensive solutions, grasp the situation, and learn from experience to prevent similar incidents from happening.

Discussing this content, Mr. Duong Khac Mai (Dak Nong province delegate) assessed that the risk of insecurity in the Central Highlands provinces in general and border, remote and isolated areas in particular is still high.

These areas are mostly very large, with complex and fragmented terrain, many border provinces, sparse population, and large numbers of unplanned migrants.

This is also a place often chosen by criminals to hide and avoid being caught by the authorities; the risk of insecurity and crime is very high, but the authorities are thin, and conditions and facilities are limited.

Through the construction of the law on grassroots security forces, delegate Duong Khac Mai recommended that the Ministry of Public Security needs to be strengthened, especially in key areas, to prevent crimes more effectively, and to prevent early and from afar similar risks as in Dak Lak.
