In 2024, the Provincial People's Council assigned the total estimated state budget revenue in the area to be 15,904 billion VND. According to the Provincial People's Committee, in March 2024, the province's budget revenue reached 1,391 billion VND, the accumulated revenue in the first quarter of 2024 is estimated to be 5,904.3 billion VND, reaching 37.1% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, equal to 134.3% of the same period in 2023.
In the first quarter, the province's budget expenditure reached 6,576 billion VND, equal to 18.2% of the estimate. Of which, development investment expenditure was 1,408.5 billion VND, regular expenditure was 5,080.8 billion VND.

In the revenue structure of the first quarter, domestic revenue reached VND 5,508.7 billion, equal to 37.9% of the estimate and 132.2% of the same period in 2023. Excluding land use fees and lottery fees, domestic revenue in the first quarter of 2024 reached VND 3,356 billion, equal to 33.7% of the estimate and 102.3% of the same period in 2023.
Revenue from import and export activities is estimated to be 90.7 billion VND in March, and the accumulated revenue in the first quarter is 393.9 billion VND, equal to 30.3% of the estimate and 172.3% of the same period in 2023. Revenue from mobilized sources and planning funding is estimated to be 1.7 billion VND in the first quarter of 2024.
According to Director of the Department of Finance Trinh Thanh Hai, the first quarter budget revenue was higher than the estimated progress assigned by the Provincial People's Council (37.1/25%). As of February 29, 2024, the total debt of the entire tax sector was VND 4,932 billion, a decrease of VND 766 billion compared to December 31, 2023.

In addition to being affected by tax policies and the complicated world situation, the province's budget collection task is affected because some major import and export items such as steel, petroleum, machinery and equipment... continue to have a sharp decrease in revenue from 2021 to present.
Appreciating the budget collection results in the first quarter, in the coming time, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Department of Finance to closely coordinate with the Tax Department and the Customs Department to review revenue items, ensure collection progress and sustainable revenue structure. On the other hand, increase savings, spend the budget tightly, economically, effectively, in accordance with regulations, and in accordance with reality.
To complete the 2024 budget revenue and expenditure tasks, the Finance sector will continue to closely coordinate with departments, branches, and sectors... in recovering tax arrears, especially handling and recovering arrears related to land. Focus on urging debt collection for tax and land rent amounts that have expired tax payment extensions according to the Government's Decrees on tax payment extensions.

Along with that, continue to promote the implementation of electronic invoices generated from cash registers and issue electronic invoices after each sale for retail gasoline business activities.
On the other hand, the industry will direct the monitoring, grasp the situation, closely follow the import and export plans of enterprises with large revenues to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, facilitate import and export activities and accompany enterprises.
