A shop owner on Hang Ma Street said: “Many young people choose to wear red flag shirts with yellow stars when attending events celebrating September 2. This is an occasion that only happens once every 80 years, so I feel proud that my shop contributes something to the general atmosphere.”

This bustling shopping atmosphere also spread to many other streets such as Hang Bong, Cha Ca, Luong Van Can... The red flag with yellow star stands out among the bustling crowd, creating a brilliant picture welcoming the big holiday.

According to retailers, sales have increased sharply this year, especially as the whole country gears up for the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2. In addition to traditional products, small, easy-to-carry souvenirs such as badges, bracelets, and flag-printed cloth bags are also popular with customers.
