Digital Skills Training

“Going to every alley, knocking on every door” is the goal that the union members and youth of Phuoc Vinh ward (Thuan Hoa district) aim for in implementing the movement “Digital Education for All”.

Whenever they have free time or on weekends, the neighborhood groups help people install the Hue-S app, open e-wallets, use digital utilities, and spread awareness about online scams… at public places and in every household.

Mr. Hoang Minh Khanh (Phuoc Vinh ward) shared: "The situation of fraud on the internet is currently quite common. Being guided by young people on how to prevent and secure banking applications, I have more knowledge to protect myself."

At the headquarters of the People's Committee of Phuoc Vinh ward, young union members are also on duty to guide people in using the utilities of online public services.

According to the Secretary of Phuoc Vinh Ward Youth Union, Mr. Do Nguyen Nhat Truong, in response to the "Digital Education for All" movement launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the local community digital technology team with the core of union members and young people in residential groups has actively informed and widely disseminated the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on digital transformation to households and people.

The "Digital Literacy for All" movement not only raises awareness of technology, but also creates opportunities for young people to practice digital skills. From there, it builds a young workforce that meets the requirements of the digital economy. Young people also actively promote digital utilities, helping people raise awareness and apply technology in daily life.

“The youth union members participating in the digital technology groups of Phuoc Vinh ward will continue to promote activities to support digital transformation; especially focusing on guiding people to use smart technology applications, e-commerce, and public administrative services. From there, we will gradually implement digital transformation in every area of life and work with the government to build digital government, develop digital economy, and digital society in the locality,” said Mr. Do Nguyen Nhat Truong.

According to information from the Hue City Youth Union, the "Digital Education for All" movement has been implemented by the Youth Union at all levels with the core being the "Digital Education for All" classes. In Quang Dien district, during Youth Month this year, the local youth union organizations have implemented many activities such as: Guiding people on how to use applications such as online banking, phone payments, online shopping, cashless payments... Youth union members and young people are also oriented and guided on how to use AI in studying and working, this is considered one of the new contents to improve the level and skills of applying digital technology to the lives of young people.

“Not only helping neighbors and the elderly use simple digital utilities in life, union members and young people need to be aware of self-study, self-exploration, and research to apply digital technology to study and work to develop themselves,” Bui Truc Ly, a union member of Sia town, shared.
