According to the announced schedule, the show started at 7:15 p.m., but in reality it didn’t start until 7:40 p.m. After waiting for a while, viewers only witnessed a show that lasted less than a minute, and many tourists thought the performance was quite short and monotonous.

“I was very excited to know that there would be a cannon firing ceremony - a solemn ritual of the ancient royal court, in a solemn and ancient space like Ky Dai - Ngo Mon. However, the performance was too fast, not enough to create emotions or convey the cultural depth as I expected,” said Ms. Bao Thanh, a tourist from Nha Trang.

After the show, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center - the organizer - recently sent its gratitude to the people and tourists and apologized, saying that the delay and brevity of the show came from unexpected technical problems. The center also expressed its hope for the public's understanding and pledged to make adjustments to bring a more complete experience next time.

Technically, each cannon can only fire a maximum of 9 shots, all 8 cannons make 72 shots in about 40 seconds.

The re-firing will take place at 7:15 pm tonight, Saturday, May 3 at Ky Dai - Ngo Mon Square. This is a weekly activity that aims to create a highlight at night in the ancient capital of Hue, connecting heritage with contemporary life. Visitors expect the program to be completed soon to become an attractive cultural destination in Hue every weekend.
