Attending the candle lighting ceremony were comrade Dinh Thi Lua, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Duc Toan, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Colonel To Anh Dung, Director of the Provincial Police; Colonel Trinh Hong Phong, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Dao Dinh Tung, Secretary of the Phu Ly City Party Committee; comrade Tran Xuan Duong, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, unions of the province and Phu Ly city, along with a large number of cadres, soldiers of the provincial armed forces, youth union members in Phu Ly city; cadres, teachers, union members and youth of FPT Polytechnic College.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates, union members and youth respectfully offered incense and flowers and observed a minute of silence to commemorate and express their infinite gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation.
The candle lighting ceremony is an opportunity for the Party committees, authorities, armed forces and young generations in the province to express their deep gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs. Through this, patriotism and national pride are educated and today's generation is reminded of their responsibility for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; to be absolutely loyal to the Party's ideals, to forever follow the path chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho and the people; to continue to promote the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
Today's generations vow to follow in the footsteps of previous generations, unite, strive to compete, constantly study, work, and be creative, contributing to the country's increasingly strong development.
At the ceremony, the delegates offered incense at the Lam Ha Temple of 10 female martyrs of the militia, the memorial house of comrade Luong Khanh Thien and released flower lanterns. Next, the delegation offered incense and lit candles in gratitude on the graves at the Phu Ly City Martyrs Cemetery.
Also on the evening of April 28, a candle lighting ceremony to honor heroic martyrs took place simultaneously at all cemeteries and martyrs' memorials throughout the province.
