Repairing the bridge named after the former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union
On the morning of July 15, a delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the repair of Trang Van Hoc bridge, Binh My A hamlet, Binh Thanh commune, Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province.
Ms. Nguyen Mai Chi - Chairman of Binh Thanh Commune People's Committee - said that Trang Van Hoc bridge (named after the former Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union) was built in 2000 and has now deteriorated.
"This is an inter-hamlet bridge serving 3,000 households with about 800 students. The total cost of the new construction is about 600 million VND, of which the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - Vietnam National University sponsor 70%, and the locality contributes 30%," said Ms. Chi.

Mr. Ngo Minh Hai - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union - shared that Cao Lanh district is a place that the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union always considers a red address to organize for young people to visit every year during Tet.
"This bridge was built by the hands of students and local people, using their own efforts, working days and feelings to repair and restore the bridge.
The main task was assigned to students from the University of Science and Technology, who are specialized in construction. Hopefully, with the support of local leaders, this bridge will be completed soon and the City Youth Union will return to inaugurate it together," said Mr. Hai.

The delegation also visited the Young Intellectual Volunteer Team at Tan Kieu Secondary School, Tan Kieu Commune, Thap Muoi District, Dong Thap Province.
Here, the Ho Chi Minh City Young Volunteer Scientific Intellectuals team reported on its activities in Tan Kieu commune, Thap Muoi district. Notably, the activities attracted nearly 1,000 students to participate, such as: technology bus trip, digital transformation festival, fun science playground...

Mr. Huynh Cach Mang - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Board - shared through the report of the young intellectual team, hoping that these are activities that really go into quality, do better, and bring many benefits to the locality.
"I hope that local authorities and Party committees will continue to pay attention and help so that Ho Chi Minh City youth can coordinate with Dong Thap province youth to contribute their best and become more mature," said Mr. Huynh Cach Mang.

Mr. Pham Thanh Nghia - Chairman of Tan Kieu Commune People's Committee - said that through the 8-day report, the volunteer team has done very practical work, teaching, environmental sanitation, administrative reform...
"This is the third year that the Young Intellectuals team has come to Tan Kieu commune, so there is good coordination, the students work well, and comply with the regulations. We hope to be able to welcome you in this program for three more years, together with the locality to build advanced new rural areas," said Mr. Nghia.

On the same afternoon, at the Martyrs Temple of Tan Hong district, the delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, together with leaders of Tan Hong District Party Committee and Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union attended the Party admission ceremony of 16 Green Summer volunteers of the University of Technology - VNU-HCM.

Speaking to advise new Party members, Prof. Dr. Le Minh Phuong - Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - VNU-HCM - hopes that the new student Party members admitted today will be more active in studying and doing scientific research to contribute to the overall development of the school.
Next is the inauguration ceremony of the 650m rural road project in Tan Cong Chi commune. This year's Green Summer Campaign, 450 soldiers from the University of Technology - VNU-HCM City have concreted 7km of road. The total value is nearly 15 billion VND.
