Establish a provincial council to consider awarding the titles of "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" in the field of intangible cultural heritage.

According to the decision, this council consists of 9 people, including Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh as Chairman of the council and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thanh Hong as Vice Chairman of the council.

The seven council members include representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, the Emulation and Rewards Department (Department of Home Affairs), the Folk Arts Association (Provincial Literature and Arts Association), the Office of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and two leaders of the Cultural Management Department (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism).

The Council for awarding the titles of "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" is responsible for organizing a meeting to select and propose the Ministerial Council to award the titles of "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" in the field of intangible cultural heritage to artisans in Quang Nam province in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 93 dated December 25, 2023 of the Government.

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to consider awarding the title of People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan in the field of intangible cultural heritage for the 4th time in Quang Nam province.

Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam will receive applications for consideration of awarding the title of People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan through one-stop procedures according to regulations from January 2, 2025 to January 9, 2025.

In case the personal profile is invalid and needs to be supplemented or edited, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will guide the individual to complete the profile (maximum 7 days from the date of receiving the profile; deadline is January 16, 2025).
