According to the plan, the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police) and the police of districts and cities have established 11 specialized working groups to focus on controlling and handling violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents such as: Violations of alcohol and drug concentrations; speeding; carrying overloaded or oversized cargo; expanding the vehicle's trunk; driving in the wrong lane or road; driving in the wrong direction... In this specialized violation handling topic, each working group will include 3 traffic police officers and 3 police officers from the commune, ward or town where the working group conducts patrols and controls.

After 10 days of implementation, by May 30, the traffic police force had recorded 685 violations, revoked 284 driving licenses; temporarily detained 204 vehicles of all types, and imposed fines of over 2.2 billion VND.
