On March 23, a representative of the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien-Hue province provided some information related to the tourist train and service between Hue - Da Nang called "Connecting Central Heritage".
The trains will begin operating from March 26, organized and operated by Vietnam Railways Corporation in coordination with the People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue Province and the People's Committee of Da Nang City, in the form of transport business combined with tourism service exploitation.
Hue - Da Nang tourist train will open on March 26
After going into operation, the operating unit will organize 2 pairs of trains with the numbers HD1/2 and HD3/4 between Hue - Da Nang every day with the name "Connecting Central Heritage".
Specifically, in Hue City, train HD1 departs from Hue station at 7:45 a.m. and arrives at Da Nang station at 10:35 a.m.; train HD3 departs from Hue station at 2:25 p.m. and arrives at Da Nang station at 5:40 p.m.
In Da Nang City, train HD2 departs from Da Nang station at 7:50 a.m. and arrives at Hue station at 11:05 a.m.; train HD4 departs from Da Nang station at 3:00 p.m. and arrives at Hue station at 5:45 p.m.
On that journey, the train will pass through beautiful railway routes such as Hai Van Pass, which has been listed by some international newspapers as one of the most beautiful and worth-experiencing railway routes in the world.
The train will pass through the Hai Van railway and stop for tourists to check-in at Lang Co Bay.
The trains will also stop at Lang Co station for 10 minutes so that passengers can admire the beauty, check-in, and take photos of Lang Co Bay - one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
A representative of the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien-Hue province said that the train will initially consist of 5 soft-seat cars with air conditioning and 1 community car serving local cultural and culinary programs.
In particular, during the opening month, Vietnam Railways Corporation will also apply a preferential ticket price of 150,000 VND/ticket; monthly ticket price is 900,000 VND/ticket (monthly tickets purchased at stations only). The operating unit will reduce prices from 10 - 50% for passengers who are policy beneficiaries.
Train tickets have been on sale since March 19 on the entire website, app and stations.
