Giving Tet gifts to the disabled and Agent Orange victims

This morning, January 15, the Association of People with Disabilities, Agent Orange Victims, Support for People with Disabilities and Protection of Children's Rights (PWDs, NNDCs, BTNKTs and BVQTEs) of Quang Tri province organized a program to give gifts for the traditional Tet holiday of Giap Thin 2024 to PWDs and NNDCs in the province. Chairman of the Association of AO/Dioxin Victims of Vietnam, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Dao Manh Hung attended.

At the program, the organizers presented gifts to PWDs and NNDCs, including: 18 wheelchairs and walkers sponsored by the President of the Senate, House of Representatives of Belgium and Ms. Tran To Nga, a Vietnamese expatriate in France; the Vietnam Association of NNDCs/Dioxin victims presented 40 gifts (VND 1.2 million/gift including VND 1 million in cash and gifts); Thien Quang Pagoda Charity Fund presented a charity house worth VND 70 million to the family of Ms. Ho Thi Lanh, a NNDC in Mo O commune, Dakrong district.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province, Dao Manh Hung, thanked the Vietnam Association of Victims of Dioxin/Disabilities and the sponsors for their concern and sharing with the disabled and victims of dioxin in Quang Tri province. These meaningful gifts will help the victims to reduce their difficulties, have rehabilitation facilities, and have solid and cozy houses to improve their lives, especially when Tet comes.

It is known that on the occasion of the traditional Tet Giap Thin 2024, the Association of PWDs, NNDC, BTNKT and BVQTTE of the province mobilized and organized the giving of gifts to PWDs and NNDC in the province with a total cost of more than 1.3 billion VND.
