Children perform at the 2023 Meeting Program for Outstanding Children of the Capital Overcoming Difficulties and Studying Well.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Hong Dan emphasized: Currently, the city has 12,765 children in special circumstances and 30,501 children at risk of falling into special circumstances. With the desire to "leave no one behind", the Hanoi People's Council issued Resolution No. 25/2022/NQ-HDND, which stipulates the level of gifts the city gives to children in special circumstances on International Children's Day and Mid-Autumn Festival from the budget, 500,000 VND/child/day.

In addition, the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs directed the Center for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Fund to mobilize philanthropists to donate scholarships, bicycles and gifts to children. On the occasion of the 2023 Children's Action Month, the City Children's Fund's Sponsoring Council presented gifts to more than 1,300 children in special and difficult circumstances with a total cost of more than 2.3 billion VND.

Especially on the evening of June 30, the children had a very fun and meaningful Gala night. They were able to interact, be inspired; express themselves and learn more life lessons. The fun activities also helped the children feel comfortable, think positively, and become more confident in life as well as in their studies.
Within the framework of the program, the Center for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Support Fund and the Thien Tam Fund signed a sponsorship contract to implement the Program to support children in special circumstances and difficult circumstances in Hanoi for the period 2023-2025.

The target of the Program is children under 16 years old with special circumstances and difficult circumstances in Hanoi. Specifically: Regular support for 1 year for each child with a budget of 700,000 VND to 1 million VND/month; vocational training support for children based on the actual number of months of study with a budget of 1 million VND/month; ad hoc support for children with difficult circumstances with a budget of 5 million VND to 25 million VND/time. The number of children receiving support will be based on the results of a survey of the children's actual family circumstances.

The children were very touched when receiving meaningful scholarships and gifts, because they not only commend but also encourage outstanding students who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies and life.
