National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized the desire to further strengthen the friendly and cooperative relations between the two Parties and peoples of Vietnam and Uzbekistan in the spirit of trust and mutual support.

According to VNA special correspondent, on the morning of April 7 local time, within the framework of an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Chairman of the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Inoyatov.

At the reception, the Chairman of the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan sincerely thanked National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man for taking the time to receive the delegation; welcomed the official visit of the National Assembly Chairman and his wife and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to Uzbekistan.

The Chairman of the People's Democratic Party informed the Chairman of the National Assembly and the delegation about the formation process as well as outstanding activities, connecting with voters and people of the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan; about the development strategy of Uzbekistan until 2030; wished that the two sides would strengthen cooperation in all fields and channels of the Party, State, people-to-people exchange, especially the relationship between the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan and the Communist Party of Vietnam, contributing to further tightening the good traditional friendship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man congratulated the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan on achieving quite positive results in the Legislative Assembly (Parliament) election in October 2024, maintaining its significant position and role in the Legislative Assembly and in Uzbekistan's political arena.

Sharing about Vietnam's achievements after nearly 40 years of Renovation, the National Assembly Chairman said that socio-politics are stable and the economy has recovered strongly.

In 2024, GDP growth will reach 7.09%, with an economic scale of about 470 billion USD. This is the basis for Vietnam to achieve its growth target, striving to become a developing country with modern industry and high middle income by 2030, and striving to become a developed country with high income by 2045, exactly 100 years since its founding.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam will forever be grateful for Uzbekistan's valuable support and assistance to Vietnam in the struggle for national independence and in the country's construction and development.

The good relationship that has been carefully cultivated by many generations of leaders and people of the two countries over the past decades is a valuable asset and a solid foundation for the two countries to develop close and mutually beneficial cooperation in the coming time.

Recalling the milestone in 1959 when President Ho Chi Minh visited Uzbekistan, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that Vietnam always values ​​and wishes to develop the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Regarding parliamentary cooperation, the National Assembly Chairman asked the People's Democratic Party members in the Legislative Assembly (Parliament) and the Senate of Uzbekistan to pay attention to and support promoting cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries.

Appreciating the fact that the Uzbekistan National Assembly has established the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Group, the National Assembly Chairman was pleased to announce that the Vietnamese National Assembly has also established the Vietnam-Uzbekistan Friendship Parliamentarians' Group, to actively contribute to promoting relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries in particular and the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries in general.

Agreeing with the proposals of the Chairman of the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, including strengthening cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the People's Democratic Party, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that the two sides increase information exchange and regularly hold meetings and exchange delegations at all levels; support and advocate increased exchanges between socio-political organizations, especially youth work.

At the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and National Assembly of Vietnam, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized the desire to further consolidate and enhance the friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two Parties and peoples in the spirit of trust and mutual support./.
