Tan Quoi makes a breakthrough in synchronous development of trade, services and infrastructure

In the 2020-2025 term, Tan Quoi Commune Party Committee mobilized the participation of the entire political system and the People to complete 2 target programs, 4 breakthroughs and 14/14 targets set out in the resolution.

Entering the new term, Tan Quoi Commune Party Committee focuses on building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; making breakthroughs in developing synchronous trade-services-infrastructure, striving to build Tan Quoi Commune to meet the standards of an advanced new-style rural commune by 2030.

In the 2025-2030 term, Tan Quoi Commune Party Committee focuses on mobilizing and effectively using all resources for socio -economic development.

Successfully implement breakthroughs

Tan Quoi Commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Tan Quoi Town, Tan Binh Commune and Thanh Loi Commune. Currently, the Commune Party Committee has 8 Party cells, grassroots Party Committees and 40 affiliated Party cells with 1,086 Party members.

To make a breakthrough in developing effective and sustainable agriculture , Tan Quoi commune has promoted the construction of irrigation infrastructure, reorganized production areas, increased mechanization, safe agricultural production, created agricultural products with quality, competitive prices and met market requirements... built 4 clean and safe production models in the direction of VietGAP.

The commune has focused on restructuring the agricultural sector, encouraging farmers to change crop varieties. In particular, Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Tan Bien hamlet has switched from an ineffective jackfruit growing model to growing 10 hectares of Thai Monthong durian, applying an automatic sprinkler irrigation system. He said: Thanks to drip irrigation, the penetration depth has been reduced, reducing leaf burn, especially in the dry season. Each watering session takes about 30 minutes, very convenient. The electricity bill is half cheaper than watering with a gasoline-powered machine as before.

Implementing a breakthrough in agricultural development in the direction of applying science and technology, Tan Quoi commune has directed the implementation of many effective science and technology application models and replicated them to many households, production facilities and enterprises with strong response, bringing practical results. Accordingly, the commune has built 5 growing area codes; there are 18 products meeting OCOP standards, contributing to promoting local products, increasing value, and meeting export requirements.

Growing 4 hectares of chili peppers, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Linh from Tan Thoi hamlet has taken advantage of available raw materials and together with her family created a chili salt product, named Be Linh's kitchen. Currently, the product is certified to meet 3-star OCOP standards.

Ms. Linh has taken advantage of the niche market, making spicy and super spicy chili salt products with her family. At the same time, she records video clips and posts them on the social network TikTok to get views and sell livestreams (live video broadcasts). Currently, she sells about 50-100 jars of chili salt (about 50kg) every day, priced at 170,000-250,000 and 300,000 VND/kg (depending on the level of spiciness). Average revenue is 150 million VND/month.

Promote socio-economic development

During the past term, the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system achieved many positive results. The strength of solidarity, spirit, will, and aspirations of cadres, party members, and people were promoted. The economy developed strongly; culture, society, and people made many advances; national defense and security were ensured, social order and safety were stable, the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas was given attention and well implemented, creating an important foundation for the Tan Quoi Commune Party Committee to continue to move forward steadily in the 2025-2030 term and the following years.

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, thanks to the attention paid to investment in upgrading and expanding the transportation system, traveling and transporting agricultural products is convenient. The canal and irrigation system in the fields has been dredged and invested in a closed system, creating favorable conditions for irrigation... which has promoted the economic development of the commune.

With a favorable geographical location, National Highway 54 passing through and adjacent to Hau River, many investors are interested in implementing projects such as Tan Binh Group Joint Stock Company has registered to invest with a scale of 32.6 hectares to implement Tan Binh Industrial Cluster, Gilimex Vinh Long Industrial Park project and Vinh Long Petro Oil Depot. "This is one of the outstanding and positive changes for the efforts of the past term" - Mr. Dao Anh Xuan Nhut emphasized.

To promote socio-economic development and build Tan Quoi commune to meet the standards of an advanced NTM commune, Mr. Dao Anh Xuan Nhut said: The Party Committee of Tan Quoi commune has set out a roadmap and key solutions. Accordingly, with high determination, the Resolution of the Congress for the 2025-2030 term will be implemented and a roadmap will be set up to strive to achieve an advanced NTM commune according to new criteria by 2030. This will be a step forward to continue striving to bring Tan Quoi commune to a civilized urban area in the next term.
