Le Gia Vinh and Tran Binh Minh also had the most emotional photos in the Children's National Assembly, which was the photo of Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son meeting with the hypothetical Minister Tran Binh Minh and the photo of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan holding hands with Le Gia Vinh for a souvenir photo.

Promoting positive change for children

The Chairman of the Children's National Assembly, Le Gia Vinh, is 14 years old this year and is a student of grade 8/5 at Hung Vuong Secondary School (Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province). With a very mature and confident demeanor, Gia Vinh was chosen to play the role of the Chairman of the National Assembly in the simulated meeting of the Children's National Assembly that took place from July 2 to September 29.

Gia Vinh is 1m74 tall and has a special love for literature and English. Gia Vinh said that to play the role of the Chairman of the Children's National Assembly, he carefully researched and studied the guidelines, policies and laws issued by the Party, State, National Assembly and Government related to children.

At the same time, I also met with "young voters" in Dong Nai province to listen to their thoughts and aspirations. In particular, I carefully studied and researched the current situation, causes and solutions for the two topics of the meeting: "Prevention of school violence" and "Prevention of the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment".

“I feel very honored and proud to be a young National Assembly delegate and to play the role of the hypothetical National Assembly Chairman. This is not only a great responsibility, but also a valuable opportunity for me to contribute my voice to important decisions related to the country's young generation,” Gia Vinh shared.

According to Gia Vinh, representing his peers and expressing their wishes and thoughts before the Children's Parliament has given him a strong motivation to try to learn and strive even harder.

“I understand that in this role, I need to listen and understand the difficulties that young people are facing such as studying, social relationships, school violence and mental health issues. These things motivate me to constantly practice communication, listening and empathy skills to be able to become a bridge between young people and the Children's Parliament,” Gia Vinh confided.

Talking about his plans for the future, Gia Vinh said he will focus on three important areas to promote his role. “As a child National Assembly delegate, I will try to use my voice, make efforts to build and expand dialogue forums between children and lawmakers. These forums will help me and others share my thoughts and wishes about education, healthcare and a healthy living environment. At the same time, I will also listen to contributions to create more appropriate policy proposals, meeting the actual needs of children,” Gia Vinh shared.

Gia Vinh also said that he will actively participate in propaganda and education activities about children's rights. "I believe that understanding their rights will help young people gain more strength and confidence in life. I will ask local leaders to organize exchanges, seminars and practical activities to raise young people's awareness of their rights and how to protect themselves.

“In addition, I will spend time learning more knowledge and skills, especially in the field of legislation. A deeper understanding of the decision-making process and how the National Assembly operates will help me give sharper, more practical opinions. I will also actively work with other delegates to promote positive changes for children,” said Gia Vinh.

Gia Vinh's performance as the Chairman of the Young National Assembly received the love of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. Immediately after the end of the session, the two leaders and former leaders of the National Assembly held hands with Gia Vinh to take a souvenir photo at Dien Hong Hall, showing their care, concern and trust in the young generation.

Be a role model for your peers

During the question and answer session of the Children's National Assembly Mock Session, Tran Binh Minh (9C student of Luong Khanh Thien Secondary School, An Lao District, Hai Phong City) played the role of the Minister of Education and Training. He also received many questions and debates about school violence from the Children's National Assembly delegates.

With a calm demeanor and concise, concise answers, the hypothetical Minister Tran Binh Minh made the "young" delegates very satisfied. In particular, speaking at the meeting, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son highly appreciated and believed that the issues raised by the young delegates were not hypothetical, they touched on many "core" issues of schools. Afterwards, he happily took a photo with the hypothetical Minister of Education and Training and the delegates at Dien Hong Hall.

Sharing about taking on the role of Minister of Education and Training for Children at the mock session, Binh Minh said that he felt very proud, honored and moved to be a bridge between children and the parliament, speaking up for children on issues related to children.

“I found that although it was called a mock session, the two topics of the session, along with the questions, debates and answers, were very practical. The two issues of school violence and e-cigarettes are also two hot issues in society today. I have gained deep understanding and useful knowledge about the issues of school violence as well as e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products,” Binh Minh shared.

Binh Minh also said that the role of the assumed Minister of Education and Training and a member of the National Assembly for children always reminds him to constantly improve, strive to develop, study hard to perfect himself, become a shining example for his peers as well as increase children's participation in issues related to children.

“In the upcoming journey, I hope that, with my role, I can contribute to building a better living and learning environment for the young generation and creating positive changes for society,” the assumed Minister of Education and Training expressed.
