Video: After being fined for alcohol violation, driver sets fire to car in front of traffic police
On the night of April 28, Dong Nai Traffic Police restrained a man who set fire to a motorbike violating traffic laws on a specialized truck of the working group.
At around 9:00 p.m. the same day, the Traffic Police Department of Dong Nai Province Police organized a concentration check on National Highway 51 (section passing through Loc An intersection, Loc An commune, Long Thanh district).
At that time, the traffic police force checked the alcohol concentration of drivers traveling on this route. Here, a man driving a motorbike was temporarily detained by the traffic police for violating alcohol concentration.

While the traffic police were working, this person suddenly climbed onto the working group's specialized truck and set the vehicle on fire.
The authorities immediately subdued the man and used tree branches and a mini fire extinguisher to put out the fire.
The fire spread quickly, burning and damaging the man's motorbike and three other motorbikes.
Acts of destroying property in public places (such as burning motorbikes on the street causing traffic jams, disorder, etc.) can be prosecuted for the crime of Disturbing public order, according to Article 318 of the Penal Code.
Traffic violators who arbitrarily burn their motorbikes when being stopped by traffic police may be prosecuted for the crime of Resisting a person on official duty, as stipulated in Article 330 of the Penal Code.
In cases where criminal liability has not yet been prosecuted, the above acts may be subject to administrative sanctions according to the provisions of Articles 15 and 21 of Decree No. 144/2021/ND-CP dated December 31, 2021.
