Attending the event was Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union. In the photo, Mr. Luong presents sports equipment to the newly established Nai Hien Dong Ward Sports Club.

According to Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union, the sports space is expected to be a healthy playground for young people in the area to practice sports and improve their physical strength. "Thereby, contributing to an ideal environment for the community to enhance exchanges, connections, improve cultural and spiritual life; accompany people and young people in practicing physical exercise, sports, and improving physical health," said Mr. Quy.

The National Volunteer Center received 9 Sports Space projects in 9 provinces and cities including: Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Da Nang, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh and Bac Giang from sponsor TCP Group.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the 1,000m2 youth sports space. The project was repaired and upgraded with modern facilities and equipment, with a total cost of about 175 million VND.

The highlight of the space is a pickleball court, attracting the attention of many young people and local residents.

Right at the inauguration ceremony, many people and young people who love this sport came here to compete and practice.

In addition, the sports space also has a basketball court, a badminton court and many modern facilities and equipment such as: children's play area, sports equipment, airy green space...

The field surface has also been invested in repairing and upgrading to ensure safety for people and children when playing and practicing in this area.

In addition, recycling cabinets and bins are also arranged to encourage people to collect and classify waste at the source, contributing to environmental protection, avoiding waste, suitable for local needs, creating a favorable space to maintain outdoor sports and recreational activities for young people and the community.

Up to now, there have been 2 youth sports spaces in operation, including the field in Thanh Hoa (inaugurated on October 4) and Da Nang (October 13), 3 fields expected to be completed in October 2024 are fields in Can Tho, Bac Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.

The program will continue to implement 16 more projects within 3 years (from 2024 to 2026), of which 4 more projects will be completed in the remaining 4 provinces and cities in 2024. The project is an activity to celebrate the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029.
