On September 22, in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh), the 24th National Conference on Cooperation in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Development with the theme "Digital Data and Decision-Making Platforms" chaired by the Ministry of Information and Communications entered the official discussion session with the participation of nearly 1,000 people.
Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung said that the National Digital Transformation Committee has identified 2022 as the year of "Bringing people to digital platforms", and 2023 as the "National Digital Data Year".

The Deputy Minister of Information and Communications also emphasized the important role of digital data and digital platforms in the country's digital transformation. He affirmed that these two elements are very important and have a close, inseparable relationship in the country's digital transformation.
"The digital platform is to provide digital technology as a service; digital technology at that time is like electricity and water. The digital platform is like the electricity grid, like tap water that everyone can use at a cheap price, paying for what they use," said Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung.
Through the workshop, the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications called on localities, including Binh Dinh province, to pioneer the development of a digital society, with 8 typical elements: each household is a broadband optical cable, each person is a smartphone, a digital identity, a digital signature, a digital payment account, an online public service account, a basic network information security software and basic digital skills.

At the workshop, many experts and representatives of information technology and digital transformation raised many difficulties and obstacles in the digital transformation process regarding infrastructure, legal regulations for using digital data and data reliability; slow deployment of basic databases; electronic data is currently mainly raw data and is still fragmented, scattered, duplicated, and lacking synchronization; availability, connectivity and data openness are still very low; lack of regulations and standards...
The leaders of the National Digital Transformation Agency (Ministry of Information and Communications) also discussed the current situation, situation and difficulties and proposed solutions for localities and businesses to consult. The leaders of this agency said that the immediate task is to develop national shared electronic data warehouses.

In Binh Dinh, FPT accompanies to promote overall and comprehensive digital transformation for the province on all three pillars: Digital Government - Digital Economy - Digital Society. FPT is striving to build a team of 2,500 employees working directly in Binh Dinh by 2025 and invest thousands of billions of VND to deploy training facilities.
This unit said it will coordinate with the locality to build a complex of research, production and training centers for technology experts and an artificial intelligence center to turn Binh Dinh into the artificial intelligence (AI) center of Vietnam and the region.
At the workshop, the Organizing Committee also announced the Prime Minister's Decision on admitting Binh Dinh Province Information Technology Center as a member of Quang Trung Software Park Chain.
