BHG - Implementing the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, Tan Lap Commune, Bac Quang District is actively accelerating the progress of the project to plan, arrange and stabilize the concentrated population of Minh Thuong Village. Currently, investors are speeding up the construction progress to soon complete the items for the people to have new housing.

Along with many other households in the village that are being relocated from areas at high risk of landslides to new resettlement areas, the family of Vu Van Hop, a Pa Then ethnic group in Minh Thuong village, is urgently gathering construction materials to complete a solid house arranged by the local government. The family of 5 members is living in a dangerous area every rainy season. After being informed and persuaded, the family agreed to move to a new, safer area in a concentrated residential area. In addition to being allocated land, the households are also supported with a portion of the cost to build a house with an area of ​​over 80 square meters.

Not only Mr. Hop's family but also the remaining 31 households in Minh Thuong that are subject to relocation are also rushing to build houses to ensure the progress committed to the local government. The new houses that meet the criteria for solidification are gradually appearing in the joy of the people here. Mr. Lieu Van Ho, Minh Thuong village shared: "I feel very happy that the government is interested in bringing people here to live. From now on, my family and the households in the village do not have to worry like before. Now we are trying to complete the houses so that we can work with peace of mind to develop the economy."

The project of planning, arranging and stabilizing the concentrated population of Minh Thuong village, Tan Lap commune was approved by the People's Committee of Bac Quang district in Decision No. 5784/QD-UBND dated August 31, 2023 and adjusted in Decision No. 11000/QD-UBND dated October 18, 2024. The scale of the project is nearly 38,000m2, arranging 33 plots of land for households to build houses. In addition, there are auxiliary items including: Internal concrete roads, domestic water supply system, domestic electricity... The total investment is nearly 22 billion VND from the capital source of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas. In order for the project to be put into use soon during the implementation process, local Party committees and authorities have done a good job of propaganda, mobilization, and statistics on the list of households supported in building houses. At the same time, proactively coordinate with investors and construction units to remove difficulties and obstacles in project implementation.

Vice Chairman of Tan Lap Commune People's Committee, Hoang Van Binh, said: The project to arrange and stabilize the population for the Pa Then people in Tan Lap Commune started at the end of 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2025, aiming to hand over to 32 households to live, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction, environmental protection, building a new countryside and strengthening national defense and security. However, the project implementation process still faces difficulties due to many objective factors such as weather and traffic. In the face of the above situation, the district has paid attention to directing units to complete the construction items that have been constructed according to the set schedule.

As a commune in the particularly difficult zone 3 of Bac Quang district, there are many ethnic minorities living there. Therefore, arranging and stabilizing the population in a concentrated manner is not only a proactive solution to respond to natural disasters but also for Tan Lap to develop its economy, culture, society, stabilize and improve the lives of its people. Thereby contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the locality.
