These days, people in Giang Bien commune, Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong city, are waiting for the access road to be completed soon so that the investor can carry out infrastructure projects to put Giang Bien Industrial Park (CCN) into operation.

Speaking with Nguoi Dua Tin, Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Chairman of Giang Bien Commune People's Committee, said that the local working-age population is currently about 5,000 people. In addition to a part of them working in agriculture and some other occupations, they mainly work at Tan Lien Industrial Park (in Vinh Bao district) and factories, enterprises, industrial parks, and industrial parks inside and outside the district.

The approval of Hai Phong City to invest in an industrial park in Giang Bien commune has made the people in the commune very happy. It is expected that when Giang Bien industrial park is put into operation and filled, it will create jobs for nearly 10,000 workers in the commune and neighboring communes.

Therefore, the people of Giang Bien commune highly agree with the policy of land acquisition for Giang Bien Industrial Park of the City and Vinh Bao district. By September 2023, the site clearance for Giang Bien Industrial Park will be completed. The people create all favorable conditions for the investor to soon put the Industrial Park into operation.

According to information from the People's Committee of Vinh Bao District, Hai Phong City, Giang Bien Industrial Park was approved by the City People's Committee for investment policy and investor approval in Decision No. 790/QD-UBND dated March 14, 2022. The industrial park was established under Decision No. 1013/QD-UBND dated March 31, 2022 with a scale of 50 hectares. The investor is MDA E&C Company Limited.

To serve Giang Bien Industrial Park, Vinh Bao District People's Committee has decided to invest in a road leading from National Highway 10 to the Industrial Park. The total investment capital of the road project is nearly 153 billion VND, using public investment capital from Hai Phong City allocated to the locality.

Mr. Tran Trong Vuong - Deputy Director of the Vinh Bao District Construction Investment Project Management Board, the unit assigned by the District People's Committee to represent the investor of the road project leading to Giang Bien Industrial Park, said that the project was started at the end of 2023. Up to now, the site clearance work has been basically completed.

“Currently, the Vinh Bao District Construction Investment Project Management Board is focusing on supervising and urging contractors to construct the road to ensure quality and on schedule. It is expected that the road will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024. On this basis, the investor of Giang Bien Industrial Park will focus on constructing technical infrastructure to soon welcome secondary investors,” Mr. Tran Trong Vuong informed.

According to information from the investor of Giang Bien Industrial Park (MDA E&C Co., Ltd.), the unit is preparing the required procedures as well as capital, equipment, and human resources to be ready to construct the industrial park infrastructure immediately after the access road is completed.

It is expected that Giang Bien Industrial Park will prioritize attracting domestic and foreign enterprises in the following industries: Mechanical industry; Production of HDPE, PPR pipes and fittings and technical plastic products; Electronics, refrigeration, telecommunications, information technology and high technology; Production of industrial products supporting high-tech industry; Production of electrical cable equipment, electrical trays; Light industry (food, garment, footwear, stationery, agricultural and seafood processing).

After Hai Phong City approved the investment policy and decided to establish Giang Bien Industrial Park, dozens of domestic and foreign secondary investors, including investors from Japan and Korea, came to explore investment opportunities.

Through surveys and understanding the favorable conditions of labor, transportation, and preferential policies of Hai Phong City, many businesses expressed their willingness to return to carry out investment procedures at Giang Bien Industrial Park.

Vinh Bao District is one of the remote districts of Hai Phong City, where people mainly live on agricultural production. After coming into operation, Giang Bien Industrial Park will not only solve the employment problem for about 10,000 local workers, but is also expected to create a strong momentum for the Southwest gateway area of ​​the City .
