Department of Health works with Quang Han commune

On the morning of August 4, 2025, a working delegation of the Department of Health led by Mr. Nong Tuan Phong - Director of the Department of Health, accompanied by Ms. Be Thi Bach - Director of the Center for Disease Control, came to work with Quang Han commune. Working with the delegation were Mr. Ha Minh Hai - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Han commune and related comrades.

Comrade Ha Minh Hai - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee reported on the results of the operation of the two-level local government of Quang Han commune.

At the meeting, the Party Secretary of the commune reported on the current situation of the commune's operations, including the advantages and difficulties when implementing the two-level local government model and the preparation for the Quang Han Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. According to the report, Quang Han commune has a natural area of 93.61 ^km2 , a population of 6,918 people, 21 hamlets with 4 ethnic groups: Tay, Nung, Mong, Kinh. The organization of Quang Han commune currently has 56 employees and 01 labor contract. From July 1, 2025, the two-level local government model officially came into operation. To ensure that there is no interruption in the management, monitoring, reception, and settlement of administrative procedures (AP) for people and businesses when rearranging the apparatus, the People's Committee of the commune has announced and publicized APs, fully posted the sets of APs in accordance with regulations... organized the reception and settlement of APs according to the instructions of the ministries and agencies receiving functions, tasks, and powers after the apparatus has been rearranged, ensuring the maintenance of stability, continuity, smoothness, and efficiency without interruption. Regarding the preparation for the organization of the Commune Party Congress, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee has issued a plan to organize the AP, issued a decision to establish subcommittees to serve the APs, prepared and completed the draft documents of the APs to submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for comments. The Congress of Quang Han Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, according to the registered schedule, is expected to be held on August 14-15, 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nong Tuan Phong - Director of the Department of Health highly appreciated the results of the commune's activities in operating the two-level local government, as well as the careful preparation for the Quang Han Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. He hoped that in the coming time, the collective leadership of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and the departments, branches and unions of the commune would continue to promote the achieved results, overcome existing difficulties to operate the two-level local government more and more effectively. Direct the functional departments of the Department of Health and affiliated units to coordinate with Quang Han commune to effectively implement health activities such as: national target programs on health, population, food safety and hygiene, preventive health programs... to further improve the work of caring for and protecting people's health right from the grassroots level.

On the same day, the working delegation of the Department of Health visited and worked with the Chongqing Medical Center and the International Medical Quarantine Department of the Center for Disease Control. The content of the working session focused on reviewing and arranging the organizational structure, arranging human resources, sending human resources for training, and promoting digital transformation in medical inspection activities at border gates.
