BHG - On the morning of April 15, in Ha Giang city, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) of Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces held a meeting to agree on the project to merge the two agencies. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Pham Ninh Thai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Tuyen Quang province and Mr. Phan Dang Dong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ha Giang province.

The Department of Science and Technology of Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces exchanged information in the process of implementing the merger in the coming time.

Implementing Resolution No. 18 of the Central Executive Committee on continuing to innovate and streamline the apparatus for effective and efficient operation, the Department of Science and Technology of Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces shared initial results in reviewing and evaluating the current organizational structure of local agencies.

Delegates gave their opinions on the plan to build a merger project to ensure consistency and ensure professional work; discussed and agreed on the functions and tasks of the affiliated units after the merger to ensure continuity and consistency with the functions and tasks prescribed by the Central Government; organized the apparatus and staffing within the unit; oriented functions and tasks after the merger; proposed a plan to arrange the staff and labor force to ensure organizational stability and no major disruption in operations so that cadres and civil servants can work with peace of mind.

At the end of the working session, the leaders of the two departments agreed on the contents of completing the draft merger project to report to the leaders of the People's Committees of the two provinces for consideration and comments.
