After the suspension of educational activities, AISVN American International School has not yet resolved the causes and owes more than 30 billion VND in taxes and insurance.

According to information from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, regarding the operations and debt status of the American International School - AISVN, the investor, American International Education Joint Stock Company AIS, the department has sent an official dispatch on providing information related to this unit to the Department of Finance; Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Home Affairs; City Social Insurance; City Tax and Base Tax 7.
As a result, by the end of June 28, the Department of Education and Training received responses from the Department of Home Affairs, Tax Department 7, and Social Insurance (SI) Region XXVII, the responses showing the remaining issues of AIS American International Education Joint Stock Company and American International School.
- American International Education Joint Stock Company AIS and American International School did not report on labor use for the first 6 months of 2025 according to Article 4 of Decree No. 145/2020/ND-CP dated December 14, 2020 of the Government ; the company's headquarters (No. 220 Nguyen Van Tao, Hiep Phuoc Commune, Ho Chi Minh City) has been closed and is not operating.
- The company has not yet fulfilled its tax declaration obligations for March 2025 and April 2025.
- The total amount of overdue payment to the Social Insurance, Health Insurance, Unemployment Insurance, and Occupational Accident and Occupational Disease Insurance funds of AIS American International Education Joint Stock Company and American International School (as of May 31, 2025) is VND 31,428,523,977.
Thus, by the end of June 2025, investors still do not have an effective financial plan to resolve and pay debts to other management agencies.
The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City found that by the end of the suspension period stated in Clause 2, Article 1 of Decision No. 2042/QD-SGDĐT, the American International School had not resolved the cause of the suspension, nor had it reported its financial capacity to maintain school operations.
Therefore, on July 9, the Department of Education and Training issued a report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration and decision to dissolve the American International School according to Clause 2, Article 51 of the 2019 Education Law. In case the investor meets the conditions for establishment, the dossier will be prepared for appraisal and permission to establish a general school with many levels according to current regulations.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, from June 2024 until now, after the expiration of the one-year suspension of educational activities, the American International School has not resolved the cause leading to the suspension.
On June 18, Mr. Ho Quang Trung, on behalf of American International Education Joint Stock Company, signed document No. 18.06/2025/AISVN reporting on the resolution of the causes leading to the suspension of education and the application for an extension of the suspension of educational activities from June 30, 2025 to June 30, 2026 (12 months).
However, this unit has not yet stated how to remedy the cause leading to the suspension of educational activities as stated in Clause 1, Article 1 of Decision No. 2042/QD-SGDĐT. Thus, by the end of the suspension period as stated in Clause 2, Article 1 of Decision No. 2042/QD, the American International School has not resolved the cause leading to the suspension.
