The total investment for the project "Repairing the old Cau Lau bridge" is over 30.5 billion VND and has been adjusted to over 36 billion VND. The project will repair damage and reinforce bridge piers. Including the sunken T8 pier, 8 piers located within the deeply eroded riverbed. Repair the main beams and bridge decks that are locally damaged. Repair and reinforce the horizontal connection system. Dismantle the entire severely damaged existing structure and rebuild the sidewalk with reinforced concrete and tiled bricks, and galvanized steel railings.

In 2024, 15 billion will be allocated. The remaining capital will be allocated in 2025. Currently, the Department of Transport is completing documents and procedures, and is expected to start construction in 2024.
