It is expected that during the 4-day holiday, Noi Bai airport will have about 338,000 passengers and more than 2,100 flights. Of which, the peak day on September 3 will serve more than 96,000 passengers and 569 flights.
Following the direction of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, from August 31 to September 3, Noi Bai airport will apply level 1 enhanced aviation security control measures, proactively preparing plans to serve the peak of the National Day holiday.
A representative of Noi Bai airport informed: "The port has arranged staff directly in sensitive areas, to prevent congestion and local overload during peak hours in the passenger terminal area.
The airport also closely coordinates with airlines and ground service units to ensure the quality of baggage claim services and flexibly limit family members from seeing off passengers during peak hours at passenger terminal T2.
The airport also coordinates with the Northern Air Traffic Management Company, the Aviation Meteorological Center, and the Information Center in aircraft operations, guidance, and extreme weather warnings to deploy response plans.
The airport representative emphasized that they will strengthen inspection and strict supervision to ensure that 100% of passengers, luggage, goods, mail, and objects are checked and screened for security before being brought into restricted areas, quarantined, and boarded the plane.
"We strictly implement procedures and regulations on controlling passenger identification documents used to board the plane, increasing random interviews with passengers at identification document checkpoints. At the same time, we maximize security screening machines during peak hours to ensure the fastest traffic flow," said a representative of Noi Bai airport.
In addition, to ensure a smooth journey, Noi Bai airport representatives recommend that passengers pay attention to checking that their identification documents are still valid; read the instructions carefully to prepare luggage according to regulations.
After checking in, passengers need to queue for security checks and other procedures to avoid waiting, causing local congestion and flight delays.
“Passengers should use the iNIA application on their smartphones to quickly update flight information and check-in area locations. When in need of assistance, passengers can call the airport hotline, website or staff at information counters, aviation security staff, etc. for assistance,” said a representative of Noi Bai airport.
