The program "Happy Bus Trip - Returning Home to Celebrate Tet with Saigon Co.op" in 2024 organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op) will give away 900 free bus tickets to children living far away from home to return home to celebrate Tet in the three regions of the North, Central and South, departing on February 5, 2024 (26th lunar month).

According to a representative of Saigon Co.op, the program "Happy Bus Trip - Returning Home to Celebrate Tet with Saigon Co.op" has been organized every year to contribute to spreading social meaning and bringing joy of reunion during Tet to those in difficult circumstances who have not been able to return home to celebrate Tet with their families for many years.

This event is also the launch of a series of activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment and development of Saigon Co.op (1989 - 2024), and is part of the 2024 Tet program with the theme "Come to Co.op to bring Tet home" of the Saigon Co.op retail system.

This year, Saigon Co.op cooperated with Unilever Vietnam, P&G Vietnam, Mayhome and Coca Cola Vietnam to organize 20 "happy buses" with a total of 900 seats, which will officially depart from February 5, 2024 (26th of the lunar calendar) to bring children living far away from home working in Ho Chi Minh City back to their hometowns in the West, Central Highlands and the North to celebrate Tet.

The program has a total of 15 buses departing from Ho Chi Minh City at Co.opmart To Ky supermarket (District 12) and 5 buses departing from Co.opmart Hanoi supermarket (Ha Dong district, Hanoi) to 35 provinces and cities across the country.

The Western provinces include: Dong Thap, An Giang, Kien Giang; the Central - Central Highlands provinces include: Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh and the Northern - North Central provinces include: Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Son La, Dien Bien.

In addition, each participating passenger will receive breakfast at the departure point and meals at the stops throughout the journey. In addition, passengers will receive Tet greetings and Tet gifts from Saigon Co.op representatives at the departure point.

When the car arrives at the Co.opmart supermarket in the countryside, customers will be welcomed and given gifts upon their return. The program prioritizes customers with a certificate of poor household and the number of years they have not been able to return home for Tet.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thang - Director of Co.opmart Operations and Marketing Director of Saigon Co.op, said that 2023 is a difficult economic year, in the recovery phase after the COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of workers in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi lost their jobs and did not have the conditions to return home for Tet.

Understanding that, Saigon Co.op believes that there is nothing more practical and meaningful than sending workers in these two localities a gift, which is 900 free tickets to return home to celebrate Tet with their families.
