Everton have been one of the best defensive teams in the Premier League in recent times. However, when facing Man Utd, coach Sean Dyche's team conceded twice as many goals as in the previous 6 matches combined. Of the 4 times they conceded, Everton "gave" their opponents 3 goals or clear chances.

Man Utd did not overwhelm and surpass their opponents in terms of control. However, against opponents with such poor quality of play, the "Red Devils" only needed to focus on defense and overcome their biggest weakness, which was the ability to take advantage of opportunities.
